Scottish Rescue Teams
You can help us
There is a significant cost to delivering Mountain Rescue in Scotland. All Scottish Mountain Rescue Teams do a lot of individual fund raising. Scottish Mountain Rescue Teams receive grant aid from the Scottish Government and assistance from our major sponsor St John Scotland. This funding, gratefully received, covers approximately 25 – 50% of individual team costs depending on the size and specific demands on the team. You can support mountain rescue in Scotland by either donating to your local team or to the national organisation (Scottish Mountain Rescue).
To donate to your local team follow the information on team websites.
You can donate to the national organisation Scottish Mountain Rescue by one of the following methods:
You can make a secure online donation or set up a sponsor page via the Scottish Mountain Rescue JustGiving page.
Please contact the Project Manager direct. You are likely to need our Charity Number: SC045003 and our address which is below.
Send items, payable to “Scottish Mountain Rescue” to our mail address:
Scottish Mountain Rescue, Glenmore Lodge, Glenmore, Aviemore, PH22 1QU.
If you are a UK tax payer and have already paid tax on the money you are donating to Mountain Rescue then we can claim that tax back, making your donation even more valuable to us. To do this download, complete and return this simple form: Scottish MR Gift Aid declaration.
If in any doubt over how to donate, please contact the Project Manager direct.
Donate your old clothes to support us
We have teamed up with Clothes for Charity so that you can donate your old clothes and support Scottish MR. By logging on to their website you can request a bag which you then fill with clothes, they arrange pick up at a place and day to suit you and Scottish MR receives a donation. Nice and simple.
